Event Triggered Audio Switch.

An Audio Switch designed for TV Production

The Event Triggered Audio Switch, ETAS, is a product that allows two audio channels to be switched according to the state of up to 8 incoming tallies. The audio can be switched through either an external FX device or simply attenuated using the internal attenuation circuitry. The tallies are normally provided by camera controllers, allowing the audio FX to be matched with each camera shot.
